Daring Greatly: The Transformative Power of Vulnerability
A Workshop with Bruce Schneider
“To run from vulnerability is to run from the essence of our nature, the attempt to be invulnerable is the vain attempt to become something we are not...” says the poet David Whyte. In her New York Times best-selling book Daring Greatly, Brené Brown makes an in-depth exploration of vulnerability, how we are taught to see it as weakness and how we are conditioned to use shame and self-judgment to try to make it go away. She says that in reality, allowing ourselves to be vulnerable is intimately connected with strength and courage. It transforms the way we live, love, parent and lead. In this experiential workshop we will use meditation, inquiry and specific exercises to discover our own relationship to vulnerability - how we defend against it and also the way in which vulnerability shows up in our lives as an ally and an essential aspect of our true nature.

Cost: $20 if registered and prepaid by Feb 20th; $25 if registering after the 20th.
